In yoga, heart chakra affirmation is called your Sankalpa. This is where you affirm your true heart’s desire. The word ‘san’ means vow or “the rule to be followed above all other rules.” The word ‘Kalpa’ means “intention.”

What is an Affirmation

An affirmation is a short phrase that you choose to repeat to bring about a positive change. I define an affirmation as an invitation to recognize your highest good.

This leads us to the question, “What is my highest good?” This is the quest you undertake in exploring the power of affirmation and its relationship to trust and feeling.

Another way of looking at the practice of affirmation is as a practice of compassionate self-regard. This is a practice we all need.

Whether you practice a heart chakra affirmation for some of some other form of affirmation, it is the view of this writer that such affirmations do not work unless you take the three steps that embody the affirmation.

  • Going out of your mind.
  • Trust the heart.
  • Enter the silence.

Neither will the practice of heart chakra affirmation work if you do not practice the three key aspects related to The Art of Loving – Eric Fromm.

  • Commitment.
  • Patience.
  • Discipline.

What are Heart Chakra Affirmations

To explore your heart chakra affirmation, it is necessary to be clear as regards the purpose of the heart chakra or the heart energy centre

Without this clarity, you may practice affirming a desire that does not serve your highest good, but that takes you deeper into the separate sense of the personal self-aligned with power, fear, and lack. It takes you more deeply into the reason for suffering.

The heart chakra is a bridge. It is the bridge between the personal and Linda and the divine. Your heart chakra affirmation is a statement whereby you express your desire to open the bridge.

Another way of stating this is that a heart chakra affirmation aligns your personal will to the will of the divine. This moves you from a focus on the personal will to power to the will to love.

In this way, your personal life purpose becomes aligned with love’s purpose. You become a channel for the expression of heaven on earth.

Challenge of Affirmation

An affirmation is a statement in words intended to create a positive outcome. The challenge is related to the degree of faith or trust you have that such a statement will be made manifest.

You might affirm, “I am enough,” several hundred times each day, but your actions would speak louder than words.

Your affirmation is the tip of the iceberg when underneath is the subconscious mind that tells you something opposite.

Therefore, I teach you the practice of affirmations in the way that I stated before.

  • Go out to your mind.
  • Feel your feelings.
  • Embody the practice.

Without this form of practice, your practice of affirmation percent copper will unlikely bear fruit.

Heart Chakra Affirmation Steps

There are different ways to practice affirmations and to practice heart chakra affirmations. I outline below how I practice my daily heart chakra affirmation.

I do this in three steps, but these are interlinked to form one process. I practice before I get out of bed in the morning. I am technically speaking retired although I am engaged with work I love most all the seven days of the week.

It is essential to establish a morning spiritual routine.

Step 1

I lie on my bed in the morning on awakening from sleep. My first desire is to be in alignment with my true heart’s desire which is to Follow Love’s Message as it is designed to express through me.

This begins with clear intention.

I practice Yoga Nidra and body scanning awareness for around 20 minutes minimum or up to an hour. Sometimes it’s just so nice, so I stay within this relaxed state.

Step 2

During the body scanning exercise my mind,—the voice in my head—will take me everywhere apart from experiencing the present moment.

It is important to simply witness the thoughts, the sensations, and not get caught up in them. This witnessing is a key part of the practice of the spiritual journey.

It is referred to as witness consciousness.

Over time the clamor of the overthinking mind stills. You are at this point at the door of the Temple of Silence. This is your inner sanctuary.

Without cultivating this stillness and silence within, there tends to be no opening for the communion of the heart.

Step 3

When you are relaxed, your mind still and silent you repeat your affirmation three times.

You are not dictating to the universe. You are affirming what you wish to be your true heart’s desire.

This has to be related to the realization of your fullest potential. This is your soul potential.

My heart chakra awakening affirmation is from the Lord’s prayer. It is, “Thy will be done.”

I love this line. It allows my life purpose to be in alignment with Love’s purpose. I don’t have to push to achieve. I only have to trust in allowing the Will of Love to express through me as it is intended to be so expressed.

The degree to which you have faith in the process is a time it will take to have your true heart’s desire made manifest.

In reality, the manifestation is instant. The reason it isn’t appearing in your everyday life has to do with your level of resistance.

Expect that you will resist the experience of fulfillment because most of us have never been taught what it feels like to be enough.

Your degree of trust and faith is related to your willingness to experience the flow of your energy system – Y – E – S.

Most of us learn at an early age to block the free flow of our life expression.

This was because we had the enviable task of choosing between attachment and authenticity.

In this way, we have lost the ability to feel into what we know to be true for our own fulfillment.

We don’t know what our true heart’s desire is and when we affirm what we think it is or should be, there is no energy behind it. That is to say, there is no emotional energy behind it.

Higher Heart Chakra Affirmation

My view is that if you are tuned into the higher heart chakra, the only affirmation you need is, “Thank you.”

If the only words you can say are, “Thank you,” then that will be enough.—Meister Eckhart—Christian mystic.

Your focus on practicing chakra affirmations is to unblock those energy centers.

If you experience an indwelling of the higher heart chakra you are already being affirmed by the universe.
