Here we begin our Christian Yoga training challenge. The most important aspect of this training begins with the focus on your intention.
Nothing happens without intention. It is the power of intention that directs the way in which this program of Christian Yoga training will unfold within and through you.
As this is a practical course of instruction designed around the teachings of the Master Jesus Christ, I will focus on the instructions given by him as shared via his sayings in the Bible including some other Bible quotes.
At the same time, I will be sharing how these sayings relate to the teachings of Yoga.
Christian Yoga Training Menu.
In the teaching of Yoga there are recognized to be four major paths that suit different personal temperaments.
The four major paths are Karma Yoga (Action), Raja Yoga (Mind), Jnana Yoga (Intellect) and Bhakti Yoga (Heart).
My intention is to invite you to explore the path of Christian Yoga that I am calling The Way of I AM.
The Issue of Authority

A truly holy person touches one’s whole being with a “peace that passeth understanding.” – Paramahansa Yogananda.
The experience of Yoga and the revelation of Christ Intelligence flowing through you is an experience of Grace. No one can give you this experience. It is always available to you. You don’t have to earn it. It is your birth right.
However, you are the one who is to make yourself available to the revelation of such grace experience.
The flow of this revelatory experience is blocked from your side. You are the one responsible for the unblocking.
As a teacher of Christian Yoga, I have the responsibility for pointing the way toward this experience of sacred unity designed to be KNOWN through you.
This is by way of words and more importantly by way of practice.
The words and practical instruction come by way of the teachings of the Master Jesus Christ.
He is the real authority. This is the authority of the Christ experience. It is not the authority of the church. It is not the authority of the Bible.
It is the authority of the Still Small Voice within.
How different are teachers who speak from revelation from those whose teach from theological training and preach to others with the purpose of converting them to a specific dogma.
Such people who are often self-elected soap box orators create intellectual and emotional upheavals in the personal minds of listeners. They seem convincing but they do not uplift the soul.
Only those who have direct contact with the flow of Divine Intention are qualified to teach the Way of I AM.
Seek Yeh First – Your KEY Intention

So let us begin this Christian Yoga training program by following the primary instruction given by the Master that takes you into the experience of unity (Yoga).
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Matthew 6:33
Notice here that the Master says, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God (or Heaven).” This is his instruction, and you are invited to make this your primary intention.
You may not KNOW how to go about this, but this is the purpose of this Christian Yoga training program that I am calling – Christian Yoga – The Way of I AM.
In order to advance this program, I will share with you how to start this practice of seeking and equally how NOT TO start this practice of seeking.
If you find that you resist such directions do not be surprised.
However, the support for such instructions will be passages from the King James Bible (KJV) and sayings attributed to the Master Jesus Christ.
If you are intent on teaching the path of Christian Yoga, then it is (in my view) only fair to those you teach that you follow these teaching given by the premier teacher.
To begin with I suspect that most if not all budding Christian Yoga teachers have no direct experience of the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven.
Don’t let this put you off.
This is true of most people who claim to be Christians and probably even more true of those in authority within the established hierarchical religion of Christianity.
Let yourself be a willing pioneer into the territory of revelation that will bless you and others as the dawning of such revelation of the Kingdom of Heaven begins to empower your life.
Where to Seek

If you ask most Christians (or non-Christians) where to find the Kingdom of God, they will declare that it is somewhere in Heaven.
The idea is that Heaven is somewhere above the earth where God resides and where all those who are saved will one day arrive after a day called Judgement Day.
This is a God made in the image of the human mind (usually a white male with a beard) by those who have not been graced the revelation of the Kingdom of Heaven.
For most people, the understanding of Kingdom of Heaven is a PLACE you go to after you die if you have followed the teachings of the Christian faith and been a GOOD person.
For a Muslim, the place is Paradise. For a Buddhist, the place is Nirvana.
This understanding of Heaven as a place somewhere above is OK for those who are in kindergarten.
This idea of God in Heaven is not based on the teachings of the Master and is neither based on the teachings of all other spiritual traditions that point toward the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven.
So where to seek for the Kingdom of Heaven which is the first thing that you are instructed to do by the Master Jesus Christ?
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. – Luke 17:21
The key words within this passage are “within you.”
When you research this quotation “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you” via the internet you find the claim that a better translation of this passage is, “The Kingdom of Heaven is amidst you.”
Those promoting the idea that the Kingdom of Heaven is “amidst you” are the blind leading the blind. If the Kingdom is “amidst you” it places this Kingdom within time and space.
As anyone graced The Kingdom of Heaven experience KNOWS such experience is beyond time and space.
As the Master Jesus stated, “My Kingdom is not of this world.” John 18:36 (KJV). The Kingdom of Heaven is the world of the Timeless, the world of eternity.
If you follow this instruction “amidst you” you will seek for the Kingdom of Heaven in the outer world within time and space.
You will follow the instruction given by those who have not entered within and been graced to KNOW and be the experience of the eternal.
Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. – Luke 11:52
Where NOT to Seek

Notice here the phrase “ye entered not in yourselves.” These are not my words but the words of the Master.
It seems that those who claim religious authority are more than willing to define these key instructions in their own way.
They turn this foundational spiritual instruction into something related to a time and space experience when it is an invitation to the experience beyond time, and invitation to the experience of eternity.
In this way they hinder others from entering the Kingdom of Heaven which is “within you” and not “amidst you.” The phrase “amidst you” takes the focus off the inner experience to seeking it in the realm of time and space.
You are the one responsible for taking the journey within so that Divine Intention be available to express through you for the highest good of all. This is an experience from within to without.
In this way you bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth (Lord’s Prayer) within this dimension of time and space. The Kingdom comes through you.
It is why you are created.
Without it coming through you as a direct experience of KNOWING then it remains only potential. It remains something to believe in rather than a living experience of Presence by which you are blessed and can bless.
You become a channel of Grace.
Those who teach that the Kingdom of God is “amidst you” cannot have had the direct KNOWING of the experience of the Kingdom.
They teach from an intellectual understanding ABOUT the Kingdom that they have to make understandable to those who have never been graced such an experience.
They interpret the teachings of the Master from the dimension of time when in fact he is speaking from the dimension of the Timeless.
They interpret the teachings of the Master from the human experience of separation while he speaks from the experience of union with the Father.
Christian Yoga – Day 1 – 1st Step

People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open. Don’t go back to sleep! – Rumi
Day 1 of this Christian Yoga training program begins with the practice of establishing your primary intention for undertaking this program.
As a teacher of Christian Yoga my role is simply to point you in that direction, I consider the best way to explore this journey you propose to undertake either as a teacher or practitioner of Christian Yoga.
Here are some essential questions that I recommend you explore.
You don’t need to KNOW the answers to these right away, but you do need to be willing to commit to allowing their unfoldment by way of a committed spiritual practice of your own choosing.
The whole of the journey of Christian Yoga is the journey of willingness and surrender.
- I am willing to seek the Kingdom of Heaven.
- I am willing to seek the Kingdom within myself.
- I am willing to authorise and trust my own journey of exploration in seeking the Kingdom of Heaven.
- I am willing to have doubts and recognise I don’t know when I don’t know.
- I am willing to have the Kingdom of Heaven revealed through me and manifested through me. (Thy Kingdom come on earth)
Recognise that you may well be on a journey that is very NEW to you. This is the beginning of the journey into the forever new and what has been called the forever young experience.
This is the journey from blind faith to authentic faith. This is the journey from cerebral belief in God to the KNOWING of God. The experience of KNOWING is not knowledge.
There is no separation between the KNOWER and the KNOWN.
Recognize that this journey is a real challenge. It is a challenge whereby you are invited to trust in your magnificence as it is created to be expressed through you from the glory of Divine Intention.
The challenge is to be willing to Companion Your Greatness (These are the Clouds – W. B. Yeats).
Christian Yoga Challenge – Day 2

Day 2 – Be Still and KNOW that I AM God – Psalm 46:10
If you are willing to authorize your own magnificence as a child of Divine Intention, then day two will explore the practical focus on the teachings of the Master Jesus that lead you to the Kingdom of Heaven within that is not here or there nor amidst you.
- Be Still and KNOW.
This Christian Yoga training program is being written as from the beginning of November 2021. The intention is to try and make it a 30 Day program of instruction. Until that time you might be interested in the related topic of Stllness and Silence.
